ASIA DAY INVESTMENT CONFERENCE
Frankfurt | Tue, November 12, 2019 | 10:30
Asia Day is the Asia Investment Conference for investors in Germany. Leading international Asia experts will give interesting presentations on current topics, trends and outlooks on “Investing in Asia”.
In 2019, the trade conflict between the USA and China is the dominant topic of the global economy: How will the conflict affect the international capital markets in the short, medium and long term? What significance does this have for the Chinese economy? Is the view in the West too short-sighted and fails to recognize the growth opportunities offered by domestic consumption and the new Chinese middle class?
US and European bonds are currently recording historically low yields. But it is not only the unchanged low interest rate environment that makes it worth taking a look at the Asian bond markets. What do investors need to keep in mind? Does the trade conflict increase the probability of default? Where do investment opportunities emerge?
These and other questions will be discussed by our investment experts from Aberdeen Standard Investments, Manulife Investment Management and Neuberger Berman on 12 November 2019 in Frankfurt. After the presentations, the speakers will be available for further discussions over lunch.
Asia Day is exclusively for professional investors.

Asian bonds have grown rapidly over the past decade to become one of the largest fixed income markets in the world. The asset class stands out as a compelling solution for investors seeking sustainable positive returns, higher real yields than euro bonds and diversification.

Having absorbed the lessons of the ’90s crises, Asia has again proven to be a beacon of stability amid recent volatility in emerging fixed income markets. Asia is still the source of much of the growth potential in global capital markets. The opening-up of China’s bond markets boasts one of the great investment opportunities of our age.
