Which equity strategies are suitable to benefit from the recovery and growth of emerging markets?

All presentations will be held in English.
Start and welcome
Divya Mathur, Portfolio Manager Global Emerging Markets, Martin Currie (Franklin Templeton Group)
Emerging markets are going through a period of exciting change, creating opportunities for investors. We are now seeing world class companies in areas such as technology, clean energy and consumption. Divya will discuss the dominant themes we see today in emerging markets and why we believe they will be significant drivers of returns going forward.
Malcolm Dorson, Portfolio Manager, Mirae Asset Global Investments
The newfound purchasing power of the rising middle class is opening up a new long-term investment opportunity, especially in emerging markets. The burgeoning megatrend will be further driven by population size, economic growth, urbanization, income expansion and younger workforces across emerging economies. Malcolm will talk about how to identify high-quality companies that can capitalize on this new and growing consumer base.
Andrew Mattock, Portfolio Manager, Matthews Asia
China’s expanding universe has created a myriad of opportunities for investing in areas of the market previously inaccessible for investors – including the rapidly expanding consumer and consumer-related sectors such as information technology, communication services, health care, and light industrials. Andrew discusses how he finds resilient growth opportunities at attractive valuations to construct a high conviction, unconstrained, all-shares China portfolio.
